I launched Online Heaven in late 2018.
It took me a good 5 or 6 months to really nail down the proper vision for Online Heaven.
Do I stick with building affiliate-style media brands?
Do I continue selling info products?
How about just pitching good affiliate offers like I’ve always done in the past?
I eventually realized I was limiting myself for no apparent reason…
Because once you understand how consumers (real people) operate, you can sell anything, to anyone, and generate income any way you like.
So I decided to drastically simplify my vision for Online Heaven.
Internet Marketing + Entrepreneurship = Freedom.
The future of internet marketing revolves around combining internet marketing with entrepreneurship to create lasting value in the free marketplace.
When you combine internet marketing with entrepreneurship, you can create any kind of legitimate online business that you like.
The best part about combining internet marketing with entrepreneurship is the sustainability of this strategy.
If you want to max out your talents, ROI and legacy, you’ll want to build sustainable internet brands, because sustainable internet brands pay you multiple times.
What is a sustainable internet brand?
A sustainable internet brand is any online business that has the potential to pay you three or more times.
Here’s why sustainable internet brands pay you three or more times:
- You get paid when you sell one of your individually branded products to a consumer (plus any upsells)
- You get paid when the consumer comes back to buy another product from you at a later date (repeat buyer)
- You get paid when you sell your entire company after some years (the exit)
I’m at a stage where building equity in companies is key for me.
I’ve ran hundreds of internet marketing style offers for companies, which has been an invaluable experience that I literally wouldn’t trade for anything.
Internet marketing is the best “free online sales training” on this planet.
You try to sell something online, you mess up horribly, you try again, and you eventually convert the sale, assuming you never give up.
That’s what I mean when I say internet marketing is free online sales training.
Internet marketing teaches you how to sell other people’s products at zero cost and generous profit.
So I highly recommend mastering internet marketing if you’re new to online business.
But I can now confidently tell people that making the switch to building sustainable internet brands is something you’ll want to do sooner rather than later.
Choosing to build sustainable internet brands is a smart, profitable and gratifying long-term play.
Examples of sustainable internet brands
Here are some of my favorite internet brands that I follow, watch closely and learn from.
Hacker Noon

Hacker Noon is a great example of the future of digital media if you’re targeting smart, tech-savvy and young demographics.
Hacker Noon’s journalism is genuine and helpful from what I can tell. Which is actually incredibly rare in the tech news space and broader churnalism industry.
Interestingly, Hacker Noon accepts sponsorships rather than advertisements.
This means Hacker Noon works with carefully chosen partners rather than any random media buyer who chooses to buy ad inventory on Hacker Noon.
Basically, Hacker Noon only displays advertisements that are qualified to be a great brand fit and add genuine value to the end user.
This allows Hacker Noon’s audience to enjoy a level of trust and comfort that is rarely ever experienced in the digital media space.
The sponsorship revenue model also attracts a higher-quality audience, which should also increase Hacker Noon’s CPM, and essentially turn Hacker Noon into a more valuable and profitable web property.
Hacker Noon also created a paid job board for people who work in tech. They essentially built a valuable brand asset and an additional revenue stream at the same time. It’s a win-win.
Overall, Hacker Noon is an amazing example of how genuinely caring about your audience’s well-being actually leads to bigger and better rewards further down the line.
Uncrate

Uncrate is a media company that leverages affiliate marketing and advertising to sell premium luxury items to high-end men.
Uncrate is a great example of how a simple affiliate website can sell high-ticket products to millions of consumers, and rake in big bucks.
They essentially publish a new article, and blast out the article to thousands of consumers every day. Then track affiliate sales and conversions. Then optimize. Rinse and repeat.
This is a very simple affiliate publishing model that has been working since the early days of the internet.
What differentiates Uncrate is they’ve nailed down the proper luxury branding, sales messaging and design that resonates with their target demographic of high-end guys.
Just think about how many people buy a product from Uncrate, then come back later and buy another product from Uncrate.
This shows it’s possible to create continuity and add lasting value with the affiliate business model.
In other words, you can leverage affiliate marketing to build a sustainable internet brand.
Plus, Uncrate has been around since 2005, and they are obviously very profitable.
I imagine they could sell their company for many millions of dollars if they wanted to.
There’s absolutely nothing stopping you from starting an affiliate publishing business similar to Uncrate.
The Dodo

I have some great experience with building affiliate-style media websites, so I know a good media website when I see one.
The Dodo is a masterful combination of video, storytelling and virality.
The Dodo is an ad-heavy media brand that’s sort of like Buzzfeed’s animal section.
Both Buzzfeed and The Dodo are playing the eyeball game.
The Dodo’s priority is to get as many eyeballs onto their videos and articles as possible.
More eyeballs, more ad revenue.
The Dodo also has a Teespring store which probably accounts for a decent little chunk of their revenue as well.
You can borrow the concept behind The Dodo and apply it to sports, travel, high-end luxury or any other niche that you like.
For example, you can create the “travel version” of The Dodo, and commit to publishing travel content every single day for one year straight. If you manage to pull off something like this, I guarantee your life will change.
Companies are now exploiting internet marketing to gain an enormous advantage
As you can see from the examples listed above, brands like Hacker Noon, Uncrate and The Dodo are somewhere in the “Wild Wild West” space inbetween internet marketing and entrepreneurship.
These companies are using raw internet marketing tactics combined with traditional business fundamentals to create something advantageous in the free marketplace.
When you combine hardcore internet marketing with entrepreneurship, you create an enormous advantage for yourself, and make it difficult for other people and companies to compete against you.
The one caveat where classic internet marketing without brand-building still makes sense
Some people love internet marketing because of the fact that you don’t have to build a sustainable internet brand to make a ton of money.
There are plenty of internet marketers out there who just want to acquire customers for other companies, get paid, and bounce to the next offer.
I spent years doing this.
- It’s fun
- It’s valuable
- It’s profitable
But it’s not super sustainable.
You aren’t building equity in anything except you and your skill set.
However…
The one caveat would be if you’re so good at internet marketing, you can run affiliate offers for a few years, make millions of dollars, and retire forever.
This is an actual possibility in the internet marketing space.
Internet marketing is one of the very few industries where “getting rich quick” is a legitimate possibility. “Quick” means 1 to 5 years in most cases.
If this sounds like you, go for it.
Internet entrepreneurship rewards you with freedom
I had to test and tweak Online Heaven for months to figure out what type of content young and ambitious people respond best to.
I’ve been optimizing.
Just like any good internet marketer would do.
But one thing has always remained constant on Online Heaven.
I will always be 100% committed to helping people like you achieve freedom by leveraging the internet to the fullest extent possible.
The internet has given us infinite opportunities to design our businesses and lifestyles any way we choose.
So make sure to seize the internet entrepreneurship opportunity right now while it’s still available to anyone with a Wi-Fi connection.
Conclusion
I love internet marketing.
I love entrepreneurship.
When you combine the two, you get internet entrepreneurship.
Going forward, Online Heaven will revolve around building equity in sustainable internet businesses that pay you three or more times:
- When people buy the first time
- When people buy from you again
- When you sell the company for an enormous profit
